Here are a few tips to help you
understand how the well layer works:

  Zoomed Out/Basic Overview

When zoomed out, we provide you with a overview of well distribution in the region, presented as a white overlay to create an easily identifiable contrast with the darker background. As you zoom in, you'll get more detailed versions of this basic white overlay.

  Zoomed In/Well Spots

As you zoom in, the white overview of wells fades, and actual individual wells appear in black. The name of the well appears when you mouse over the well symbol. There is an information window for each well that appears when the well symbol is clicked.

  Well Popup/State Links

Clicking on an individual well symbol will cause a window to appear with basic information about that particular well. In addition, near the bottom of the window (red arrow) a hyperlink to the appropriate state website that will launch in your web browser a page with much more detailed information about the well.

**If nothing happens when you launch the layer, please make sure you have the most current version of Google Earth installed.
